Can I tour the residence?

Yes. Tours are available from Monday to Friday between 10:30am and 5:00pm, and sometimes on weekends with prior notice. Virtual tours via WhatsApp or Zoom can also be arranged.

What do the different room classifications mean?

Rooms are classified based on several factors, including the room layout, direction the room faces, whether it overlooks the street or courtyard, floor level, natural light, window size and functionality, and overall square meterage.

Can my friend and I live in the same apartment?

Requests to live with a friend in the same apartment are accommodated where possible. Availability depends on the time of year, but efforts are made to place friends together whenever feasible.

What is the minimum age for booking at Heyday?

Residents must be 18 years or older to live in the residence. A copy of a government-issued ID is required for age verification.

Can I bring in a support animal?

Pets of any kind are not permitted in the room or residence, except for a registered service dog, such as a guide dog.

Does my room come furnished with bed linens?

No. Residents are required to bring their own sheets, duvet, pillow, and pillowcases. These items can be purchased locally. Beds measure 120 x 200 cm, which is a small double size.

Will there be pots, pans, and utensils in my kitchen?

Yes. Kitchens are equipped with dishes, silverware, pots, and pans. Any additional supplies can be purchased locally. All kitchen items provided are shared among students in the apartment, except for personal items purchased individually.

Can I have overnight guests?

Residents may have one overnight guest for a maximum of seven nights per month. Two guest nights are free, and additional nights are charged at €15 per night. Guests are only permitted after informing flatmates and receiving approval from management. Guest requests must be submitted by 6:00pm on the day of arrival, and guests must provide a copy of their ID or passport upon arrival.

What is the voltage in Ireland?

Ireland uses a 240V electrical system with standard 3-prong UK/IE plugs. Phone chargers and laptops generally work with a plug adapter, but items such as hairdryers, straighteners, or printers may not be compatible and should be purchased locally. Plug adapters are not provided.

May I smoke in my room?

Smoking and open flames are strictly prohibited inside the residence. Smoking is only permitted outdoors. Candles, incense, hookah pipes, and other flammable items are not allowed inside.

Is Heyday a quiet place to live and study?

The residence takes anti-social behaviour seriously. Residents are expected to respect others in the community. Study rooms are available, and quiet hours are enforced within the residence and courtyard to support a suitable study environment.

Is there security?

The residence features an enclosed courtyard layout, electronic access control throughout the building, and CCTV coverage from the street to all common areas and up to the exterior of each bedroom door.
